The Boat That Rocked is rockin’ with Focus Features for US distribution. The film didn’t get the best of reviews from its overseas release, but the guys over at Focus really know what they’re doing. They are working with the producers to cut the film down a bit for American audiences and pushing back the release date sometime in November of this year.

This looks like a fun movie. Set in 1966, The Boat That Rocked is a fictitious film about an offshore radio station, Radio Rock, who must battle the British government and BBC to keep the rock alive. The story takes some real events from the era, but does not represent any particular station. The trailer looks great and the soundtrack is amazing.
