I know there are some people out there who are dying to know what the name of the song featured in the trailer for Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler’s latest film, Funny People. Well, I can’t help you a damn bit. Just kidding… The name of the song is “Photograph” by Beatle Ringo Starr. It’s a great tune that he wrote with George Harrison and not to be confused with the equally brilliant song of the same name by Def Leppard. If you’d like to buy it on iTunes, click here. “Photograph” is a song written by Ringo Starr and George Harrison. It was released by Starr as a single in October 1973, reaching number eight and number one in the UK and U.S. singles charts, respectively. It can also be heard on the Ringo album and several compilation and live albums.

On “Photograph”, Starr is the lead vocalist and plays drums, and Harrison plays 12-string acoustic guitar and sings harmony vocals; Jim Keltner (drums), Klaus Voorman (bass), Nicky Hopkins (piano), Vini Poncia (acoustic guitar), Jimmy Calvert (acoustic guitar), Lon and Derrek Van Eaton (percussion), Bobby Keyes (tenor saxophone solo) are also featured. The orchestral arrangements are by Jack Nitzsche, and Richard Perry produced the recording.

After the jump we have the HD Trailer (plus the normal images, synopsis, and cast) for Judd Apatow’s latest film, Funny People. People say that this is Apatow getting serious for a change, but I call bull-shit. Is death and disease any more serious than having a baby with someone you don’t know or being a virgin at age forty? I don’t think so. It’s probably got some great laughs and possibly another Ringo song (the song in the trailer is Ringo’s “Photograph” that he wrote with George Harrison - buy Photograph on iTunes). I look forward to seeing it when it’s released on July 31, 2009.

Over the past few years, writer/director Judd Apatow (The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up) has shown that nothing-not even losing your virginity or the miracle of childbirth-is sacred. Not big news, as Eminem revealed last month he had shot a cameo for Funny People. MTV released a pic today his role, probably playing himself as one of George Simmon’s famous friends. From Judd Apatow’s MTV Blog:

Is Eminem in it?

No. Marshall Mathers is in it.

How did that happen?

I still don’t know.

How was it directing him?

I was scared to pitch jokes to him then I realized his songs are as nasty as anything that has ever been spoken. There is no way to offend him.

All the movie blogs released a few pics from the upcoming film Jennifer’s Body today. It’s Diablo Cody’s second feature as a screenwriter and her first after taking home an Oscar for Juno, but all the focus is really on Megan Fox.

There’s no question Megan Fox is incredibly attractive. Scratch that - she’s irresistibly attractive. Possibly the most attractive woman on the planet. Nobody’s close. And that’s only the amount of searches per day from typing two simple words into a Google search: “megan” & “fox.” Now I bet you’re thinking to yourself, “it’s because she was in those God-awful Transformer movies.” Well people, think again:

Everytime I think Kevin Smith is talentless hack, I have to go back to my teens when my perception of him was that of a filmmaking God. To put it simply, his writing offends people and that’s part of the charm. If Kevin Smith is a genius of any sort, there’s no better example than him protesting his own film, Dogma, with a bunch of Catholics in Eatontown, New Jersey back in 1999. Awesome, just awesome.
